It’s always great to hear about photographic successes by former workshop participants, so we were very pleased to learn recently that Robert Dutton, who attended one of our first workshops at Malham, won an award last year for one of his paintings based on his photograph of Malhamdale from Malham Cove inspired by our workshop!

Robert is an expressive, impressionistic professional artist based in Leeds – you can see more of his work on his website rdcreative.co.uk.

His painting ‘Peregrine above Malham Cove’ was an award winner in the 2014 Patchings Open Art Competition.  You can read a bit more about the painting on Robert’s blog.

For more information on our Malham workshop see the Malham & Gordale Photography Workshop page.

    Hi All,
Totally brilliant going out with these guys on workshops whatever time of the year. Any level of photographer there is something to be learned from mark and Sam. Both excellent in after sales as well.

Sam came to my home for a one to one post processing which was fab. Mark’s been in touch with other technical advice as well for professional presentation. Wonderful chaps who are really into their craft.

As an artist there is a kindred spirit there. I did ‘the wilds of Ribblesdale with Mark and Sam. I cannot wait to convert those bent trees and limestone pavements into another series of drawings and mixed media paintings!

    Thanks for everything guys.

    Robert
